Branding Project

The Par Club

Full Brand Kit and Growth Strategy for a Social Bar & Indoor Golf Venue

How Growth Advocate® Brand Studio provided value:

The Par Club was ready to become Castle Rock's go-to social golf destination. Growth Advocate® Brand Studio defined the brand's story, ideal guest, voice and visual identity, then carried that foundation into every place guests meet it: a new website, street-facing window graphics, staff uniforms, new guest engagement photography, and three sales campaigns built to bring new guests in and keep them coming back. The result is a brand that feels welcoming before anyone swings a club, with a clear path from first visit to regular.

‍

What We Learned

WHY: The Archer

The Par Club was built on a simple conviction: a good time is worth building something around, and no one should have to prove they belong before they are welcome. Founder Tom Muldoon left a career in corporate consulting to create a place where belonging comes before expertise, fun brings people together, and golf is for everyone.

HOW: The Bow

The Par Club is a natural host with a plan. Staff greet first-timers personally, walk them into the bay, and make regulars feel at home. World-class UNEEKOR simulator technology lets golfers see their swing and improve without feeling judged, while great cocktails and a beautifully designed room turn a round into a night out.

WHAT: The Arrow

Permission to be a beginner without embarrassment. Guests come for a fun night out with friends and leave with a place that believes in them, more confidence to play and improve, and a social ritual they want to repeat with the people they care about.

WHO: The Target

The Par Club's ideal guest is the one in her circle who makes the plans. She lives or works around Castle Rock and the South Denver metro, is socially active and athletically curious, and may play golf casually or not at all. She isn't looking for a formal lesson or a traditional club. She wants a beautiful, welcoming reason to get out, bring her friends, enjoy a cocktail and do something memorable. Close behind her is the golfer who wants to get better on the real course and enjoys doing it in good company.

The Competitive Landscape

Most ways into golf around Castle Rock assume you already have a game, from course programs built for established players to lessons by appointment. Indoor venues tend to lead with equipment, and several run self-serve, with no one there to welcome a newcomer. Meanwhile, local lists of things to do at night point almost entirely to restaurants and bars. The white space was clear: a hosted social golf experience where first-timers feel welcome, golfers can still get better, and everyone can enjoy a beautiful, upscale bar and lounge.

Brand Personality & Voice

The Par Club leads as the Caregiver, with the Jester close behind. The Caregiver makes the welcome real through warmth, reassurance and protection from the judgment that can make golf feel off-limits. The Jester brings the spark, with humor and energy that keep the brand from feeling careful or precious. If The Par Club were a person, it would be the confident host who has the evening planned, makes everyone comfortable and turns a group into a good time, like Coach Ted Lasso: always positive, always inviting, always ready to encourage.

  • We say:

    "Come play with us."

    We don't say:

    "Book your bay experience."

  • We say:

"You don't have to know anything about golf."

    We don't say:

"All golf skill levels are welcome."

  • We say:

    "Get better. Have a blast."

    We don't say:

    "Technology-powered golf improvement."

The Visual Identity System

The palette pairs Turf Green, a grounded, Colorado-modern anchor, with Blush as a warm accent, balanced by Warm Stone, Brand Dark and Brand Light. Typography sets Figtree Light and Regular for a clean, social read, with Sacramento script reserved for feature moments like the tagline. The brandmark is a martini glass holding a teed-up golf ball and a pink flag, set in a circular seal with Life Well Played, plus horizontal and icon-only versions.

Brand Quick Look

Our full kit brand clients enjoy a cover page summary in their Brand Style guide that quickly shows the primary logo, color palette, and font guide.

‍

Color Palette

Turf Green carries the brand, Brand Light carries open spaces on a page, and Blush appears just often enough to soften the tone and be noticed.

‍

Typography

The logo-infused brand patterns add a touch of vintage golf style, while the flag sticks and additional symbology add visual language for the brand to use throughout its collateral.

Brand Application

Brand applications create a quick visual reference to see how all the brand elements come together to tell a story, whether on menus, the website, or street-facing windows, etc.

Foundational Language

The Par Club's promise lives in its tagline: Life Well Played. Its positioning names it Castle Rock's most accessible social golf destination, a welcoming, beautifully designed space where anyone can improve their game, enjoy great cocktails and have a good time with the people they care about. The key message is simple: no experience required, and everyone is invited. Golf is the excuse. Being together is the point.

The Result

"H.B. was the thought partner I needed. He took my business goals and turned them into brand action, from the look and voice to refining sales campaigns that stay on brand. Then his team made it real, carrying out changes I'd been wanting to implement for a long time. There were ideas I didn't expect that created an outcome I couldn't have imagined." — Tom Muldoon, Owner, The Par Club
