The Outrider Hotel

Project overview & outcome.

On May 1, 2026, The Outrider Hotel opened in the heart of Manitou Springs, minutes from Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Pasley Commercial Interiors helped the owners turn a building once seen as a local eyesore into a boutique adventure hotel, where the brand guests find online is the brand they feel when they arrive.

What challenge did the client face?

The owners had built a strong brand on paper, but they needed it to live in an existing building with a poor local reputation, without the investment of a full gut renovation. On the design side, decades-old room proportions left little space for modern amenities, and the ground-floor rooms on the east side sat in near-constant shade.

How did we solve this design challenge?

We started with business goals: bring the brand book into every room while protecting the budget. Color and brightening elements refreshed the space affordably, and durable contract furniture echoed the local landscape. Shallow credenzas kept 3-foot clearances in tight rooms, while layered film, paint, and lighting brightened the shaded east side. Wayfinding and a lobby divider completed the guest experience.

What business results came from the design?

The Outrider Hotel opened as planned with 39 guest rooms, now a brand-cohesive property built for adventure-minded travelers. Contract-grade furniture protects the owners’ investment by standing up to daily guest use. In a mid-project survey, the owners rated Pasley Commercial Interiors a perfect 6 out of 6 in every category, including how likely they are to refer us.

What does the client say about the project?

“One thing we overlooked on our first hotel was the strategic role a design partner plays. If you build an incredible brand and go right to construction, you’ve missed a key element, because everything guests feel and touch is part of the experience. Pasley Commercial Interiors was thoughtful about our design desires, our budget, and durability. Now we have beautiful contract furniture that will stand the test of time. We chose the right partners.” - Jordan Malara, Co-Owner, The Outrider Hotel
