Delnay Guest House

The Transformation

We considered the Delnay Guest House project a perfect fit for our firm, and it was extremely rewarding to bring it to life. This guest house serves the Heart of the Rockies hospital, supporting families from remote Colorado communities and providing interim housing for medical providers. The project included 10,000 square feet and 10 fully furnished units.

The Challenge

The client needed the guest house ready for extended stays—making it feel like home rather than an institution—while meeting practical and code requirements for a diverse group of users. The most difficult challenge was fitting all essential furnishings into units that were not originally designed with real-world furniture dimensions in mind, especially since most room layouts and circulation paths had to be reimagined for comfort and compliance.

Our Solution

We delivered every piece the client requested while maximizing comfort and functionality. We sourced high-quality, resort-grade furniture strong enough for public use yet welcoming enough to feel like home. For units lacking dining space, we implemented a custom sofa table behind the sofa (with stools neatly tucked underneath) to create a functional eating and work area. Practical touches included lamps equipped with USB chargers and, for one unit, a medical-grade recliner to support post-surgery care.

The Results

Delivered all required furniture, meeting code, budget, and timeline. Maximized the functionality of every space, overcoming tight room dimensions. Seamlessly blended a home-like aesthetic with commercial-grade durability. A standout result: Warm, live-edge wood with craftsman style joinery gave the bedrooms modern, mountain style. The client can point to specific outcomes—like smart furniture solutions and compliance—visible in images of the completed space.
